Biography

Maja Pantic is a Professor of Affective Behavioral Computing and the head of the i·bug group at Imperial College London. She is a Scientific Research Lead focusing on the analysis of human non-verbal behavior and its applications in human-computer, human-robot, and computer-mediated human-human interaction. Pantic has published more than 250 technical papers in areas such as machine analysis of facial expressions, machine analysis of human body gestures, audiovisual analysis of emotions and social signals, and human-centered machine interfaces. Her work has received over 30,000 citations, and she has served as a keynote speaker, chair, co-chair, and committee member for numerous conferences in her areas of expertise.
