Biography

Majid Ahmadi is a University Professor and Director of the Research Center for Integrated Microsystems at the University of Windsor, specializing in digital signal processing, machine vision, pattern recognition, and neural network architectures. He has significant contributions in VLSI implementation and computer arithmetic. Ahmadi has co-authored the book 'Digital Filtering in 1-D and 2-D Dimensions: Design Applications' published by Plennum in 1989 and has published over 400 articles in his areas of expertise. He has received various accolades, including an Honorable Mention award from the editorial board of the 'Pattern Recognition' journal in 1992 and the Distinctive Contributed Paper award from the Multiple-Valued Logic Conference in 1999. He is a Fellow of the IEEE (USA) and Fellow of the IET (UK).
