Biography

Malcolm Low is an Associate Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), serving as the Programme Leader for the Bachelor of Science with Honours in Applied Computing. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Oxford and has previously been an Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He has extensive experience in simulation optimization in defense and maritime domains, funded by the Singapore Ministry of Defence and the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore. His research interests include combinatorial optimization, discrete event simulation, and parallel computing, and he has led numerous projects exploring the use of simulation in high-tech manufacturing and data visualization. In addition, he has received several awards for his contributions to the field and is a senior member of both the IEEE and ACM.
