Biography

Malin Zimm is an architect, author, and researcher in the field of architecture. She served as the editor-in-chief of the architecture magazine Arkitektur from 2019 to 2022. Her academic background includes a PhD in Architecture from the KTH School of Architecture, where she presented her dissertation titled 'Losing Plot - Architecture Narrativity Fin-de-Siècle Media Cultures' in 2005. This work focuses on the concept of non-digital virtual space in late 19th-century literature and the history of early film. Zimm has been a freelance writer and architecture critic since 2000, and she has held significant positions including Chief Editor of the architecture magazine Rum and Senior Adviser in Architecture at ArkDes.
