Mallory Davies completed her BA (Hons.) in International Development at the University of Guelph and her MA in Educational Studies at the University of British Columbia before pursuing doctoral studies. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of History at the University of Waterloo. Her doctoral research examines the integration of teen mothers into public education during the 1970s and 1980s and its implications today. Mallory is broadly interested in history education and has co-written newspaper articles regarding school (re)naming discussions in Vancouver. She has worked as a research assistant on the Thinking Historically Canada’s Future project, which focuses on citizenship in history education. In recognition of her contributions, Mallory was awarded the Wendy Mitchinson Award in Fall 2021 and is also an OGS scholar, as well as the co-president of TUGSA at the University of Waterloo.
