Biography

Mancy Tong obtained her Ph.D. in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, in 2017. She trained as a postdoctoral associate in reproductive immunology at the Yale School of Medicine and, in 2020, was awarded the NIH K99/R00 Pathways to Independence Award from the NICHD. She joined the faculty in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Tong has published in leading journals related to reproductive sciences, and her current research program is R01-funded, focusing on the impact of viral infection and inflammation on endometrial differentiation and its downstream effects on placental development and pregnancy outcomes. She is a strong advocate for mentorship, serving as the Chair of the Career Development Committee for the Society for Reproductive Investigation, and is an active member of the International Federation of Placenta Associations, where she serves on the editorial board of 'Human Reproduction Update' and 'Trophoblast Research'.
