Dr. Maneesh Misra

Biography

Maneesh Kumar Misra is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at Stanford University. He serves as the Co-Director of the Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Disease Profiling Laboratory at the Stanford Blood Center. Maneesh's research interests encompass allogeneic transplantation, autoimmunity, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, immunogenetics, and solid organ transplantation. His work focuses on the detection and functional characterization of alloantibodies in the context of clinical allogenic transplantation. He has identified and characterized novel HLA alleles and has authored over 25 peer-reviewed publications, in addition to co-authoring a book. Maneesh completed his PhD at Banaras Hindu University, followed by research positions at the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He has been involved with various professional organizations including the American Society of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics and serves on editorial boards for reputable journals in his field.
