Biography

Manil Subesinghe trained at Guy’s, King’s & St. Thomas’ (GKT) School of Medicine, qualifying in 2004. He completed his general medical training in Leeds and London, followed by clinical radiology training in West Yorkshire. He developed a subspecialty interest in Radionuclide Radiology and completed a one-year PET-CT fellowship in Leeds. In 2014, he was appointed as a consultant radiologist in Oxford and took on his current role as Clinical Lecturer in PET imaging at King’s College London in 2017. His research interests encompass the role of functional molecular imaging in cancer. He co-authored the 2015 British Thoracic Society guidelines for the investigation and management of pulmonary nodules, and has lectured at regional and national meetings on aspects of PET-CT in oncology. He delivers lectures for the Nuclear Medicine: Science & Practice post-graduate course run by KCL and serves as an OSCE examiner and interviewer for the GKT School of Medical Education. He is a member of the British Nuclear Medicine Society (BNMS) and serves on the Scientific Educational Committee (SEC) of the Clinical Radiology Professional Learning Development Committee at the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR).
