Dr. Manish Verma

Biography

Manish Verma is a Professor and the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies at the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. He earned his MBA and PhD in Business Administration with a specialization in Operations Management/Management Science from the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University. His research interests include multimodal transportation, dangerous goods, risk assessment, network design, transportation planning issues, humanitarian logistics, green supply chain management, and the resilience of transportation systems. He is actively engaged in current research on safety and security issues in freight transportation and humanitarian logistics, receiving funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). His works have been published in leading international journals related to transportation and operations research, and he has contributed to media discussions on railroad accidents involving dangerous goods.
