Biography

Manishi Desai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology & Vision Sciences at Boston University’s Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. He specializes in glaucoma and has earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a fellowship in glaucoma at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, which is affiliated with the University of Miami. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist currently serving as the glaucoma fellowship director and director of international education, overseeing collaborations aimed at improving eye care outcomes, notably with the Lesotho Boston Health Alliance. Dr. Desai’s research interests focus on the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma, compliance and improving healthcare access and operations, and resident education. He is dedicated to introducing innovative approaches to enhance patient care and compliance.
