Biography

Manjari Chatterjee Miller is a Professor at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto, where she holds the inaugural Munk Chair in Global India. She is also a Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and an Associate at the Asia Center of Harvard University. Her research focuses on international relations, particularly the dynamics between India and China as rising powers. She is an author of several influential works, including 'Nations Rise: Narratives Path Great Power' (2021), which was shortlisted for the 2022 Hedley Bull Prize in International Relations, and 'Wronged Empire: Post-Imperial Ideology and Foreign Policy in India and China' (2013). Furthermore, she co-edited the 'Routledge Handbook of China-India Relations' in 2020. Previously, she served as a tenured Associate Professor at the Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, where she directed the Rising Powers Initiative. Her extensive academic career includes various fellowships and visiting positions at prestigious institutions, contributing her expertise to numerous peer-reviewed journals and policy outlets.
