Dr. Manjari Miller

Biography

Manjari Chatterjee Miller is a Professor of International Relations at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, where she holds the inaugural Munk Chair in Global India. She is also a Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and an associate at the Asia Center at Harvard University. Her research focuses on issues such as international security, the dynamics of rising great powers, and the geopolitical interactions between India, China, and Southeast Asia. Miller is the author of several influential works, including 'Nations Rise: Narratives of the Path to Great Power' and 'Wronged Empire: Post-Imperial Ideology in Foreign Policy of India and China.' Her expertise has led her to hold prominent positions such as a tenured associate professor at Boston University and a Visiting Associate Professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore. Additionally, she has contributed significantly to academic discourse through numerous articles and participation on editorial boards. Miller's academic journey includes an impressive educational background, with degrees from the University of Delhi, University of London, and Harvard University.
