Dr. Manoj Mohanan

Biography

Manoj Mohanan is a Professor at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University. His research interests are centered around applied microeconomics, with a particular focus on health development economics. Mohanan's work addresses critical issues in health care in developing countries, including performance-based contracts, provider quality measurement, and social franchising. His academic inquiries also explore how subjective expectations and beliefs influence health care behaviors. He conducts field experiments and policy evaluations, particularly in India, and he has published extensively on the intersection of health policy and economic theory.
