Biography

Born in England, Manu Paranjape grew up in Edmonton, Canada. He holds a PhD in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and has been teaching at the Department of Physics at the Université de Montréal since 1986. His research interests encompass various aspects of theoretical physics, particularly Quantum Field Theory, gravitation, tunneling, spin systems, solitons, and non-commutative geometry. Over the years, he has been involved in numerous research projects, focusing on topics within quantum mechanics and field theory. He is a member of the Particle Physics Group and is affiliated with the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Canada. Throughout his career, Paranjape has supervised several theses and dissertations while also contributing to various teaching and supervision activities within his department.
