Biography

Manuela Pelmus received her MD and PhD degrees from 'Carol Davila' University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. She completed her residency training in Pathology and pursued fellowships in Bone Pathology and Soft Tissue Tumors at Cochin Hospital in Paris, France, and the Bergonié Institute in Bordeaux, France. Following residency graduation, Dr. Pelmus served as a staff pathologist at 'Carol Davila' University of Medicine and Pharmacy University Hospital in Bucharest, Sherbrooke University Hospital in Canada, and the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, Canada. She has been actively involved in university teaching programs, clinical research, and activities. Her current research interests include triple-negative breast cancers, markers for breast and ovarian neoplasia, endometrial cancers, and the pathology of synovium.
