Biography

Mara Freilich is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences at Brown University. She specializes in applying mathematical modeling to observations of ocean ecological dynamics and the climate system. Her research focuses on projecting and mitigating the impacts of climate change through a predictive understanding of how various components of the climate system interact across spatial and temporal scales.
