Biography

Mara Kieser joined the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy staff in August 1996 as the Coordinator of Experiential Education. She has extensive experience in clinical, retail, health maintenance organization, and hospital settings. Currently, she practices as a consultant pharmacist in Long Term Care and has a deep interest in the effects of state and federal regulations on Long Term Care practice. Her professional interests also include the development of preceptor sites and understanding the cost implications and benefits of student clerkships. Mara is an active member of the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin's Long Term Care Section, as well as the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and the American Pharmacists Association.
