Biography

Marc Bohner is a leading scientist in the field of biomaterials, particularly bioceramics and bone substitute materials. Marc has given around 150 invited lectures worldwide and actively contributes to the scientific community through editorial roles, including as an editor for Acta Biomaterialia. His contributions have garnered prestigious recognitions such as the George Winter Award from the European Society for Biomaterials and an honorary doctorate from Uppsala University. Additionally, he has played a significant role in professional organizations, including serving as president of the GRIBOI association and holding leadership positions in biomaterials societies. His work has led to multiple patents for commercially available biomaterials, showcasing the impact of his research on both academia and industry.
