Biography

Marc Aurel Busche is a clinician scientist dedicated to supporting individuals living with dementia and leading research initiatives aimed at improving the understanding of the causes and mechanisms of dementias. His research efforts focus on developing effective therapies. The laboratory employs a multi-disciplinary and multi-modal approach to achieve three main objectives: 1. to understand the drivers of progression in Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders, focusing on their causes and mechanisms; 2. to identify neurophysiological readouts that can serve as sensitive dynamic biomarkers to evaluate treatment effects in patients; and 3. to develop circuit-based therapeutic interventions that modify symptoms and prevent disease progression.
