Dr. Marc Davidson

Biography

Marc Davidson researches ethics, sustainability, and climate change. He focuses on questions regarding how to behave for future generations and the environment. He examines how costs of environmental policy are equitably distributed at both national and international levels. Davidson particularly addresses the moral question of how we should act in light of sustainability and environmental issues. He is concerned about future generations and the duties we owe to the species that inhabit our planet. He questions what fair distribution of the costs of environmental policy looks like for the population and the responsibilities of individuals, citizens, and consumers. Davidson approaches these questions in a multi- and interdisciplinary manner, connecting the fields of ethics with economics, ecology, and psychology.
