Biography

Professor of Public Management at UCL School of Public Policy and the director of the MPA in Public Administration and Management at UCL. He collaborates with ESADE Business School as the director of the Public Governance Center (ESADEGov). His scholarly contributions examine aspects of collaboration at individual, organizational, and societal levels. Using qualitative and quantitative methodologies, his research addresses the reasons individuals engage in collaboration and how managerial actions influence performance. His work is divided into main themes that interrelate: (1) Motivation and prosocial attitudes, (2) management of inter-organizational collaborations, and (3) methodological aspects of Public Administration research. He has developed his research interests by publishing more than fifty academic publications and leading principal investigator grants. He currently serves as Editor of Local Government Studies.
