Biography

Marc Perrenoud is a lecturer and researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Lausanne. He is an anthropologist and sociologist who has spent more than ten years investigating professional groups, including 'ordinary musicians' and those who are wealthy and famous. His published works include 'Les musicos' (2007) and 'Vivre de la musique' (2017). In 2012, he led a survey on the life and careers of musicians in French-speaking Switzerland, conducted within the framework of NCCR LIVES.
