Biography

Marcel Bouvy graduated as a pharmacist in 1992 and became a Professor of Pharmaceutical Care at Utrecht University in 2009. His research interests focus on the development of the pharmacy profession, including observational research on medication-related problems and intervention studies aimed at solving issues in pharmaceutical care. He is a member of the Medicines Evaluation Board in the Netherlands and serves on scientific advisory boards for the Royal Dutch Pharmacists Association (KNMP). Additionally, he is a founding member and trustee of the European Society for Patient Adherence, Compliance, and Persistence (ESPACOMP). His inaugural lecture took place on April 23, 2010.
