Biography

Marcel Kahan is the George T. Lowy Professor of Law at New York University School of Law. His main areas of teaching and research include shareholder voting, hedge funds, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and bondholder rights. Kahan has written over 60 articles in law reviews, finance journals, and professional publications. His contributions have earned him recognition, including the Merton Miller Prize for a paper submitted to the Journal of Business and the De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek Law Prize for a paper in the ECGI Law Working Paper series. Kahan has also been selected for the Corporate Practice Commentator for 20 articles on corporate securities. Additionally, he has served as a visiting professor at prestigious institutions such as Harvard Law School, Columbia Law School, and Hebrew University. He is a fellow of the European Corporate Governance Institute and a member of the American Law Institute and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
