Biography

Marcella R. Aquino, MD, is a professor and clinician educator at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, specializing in allergic skin diseases and drug allergies. Her clinical interests include atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, and drug allergies. She conducts in-depth interviews with caregivers to evaluate barriers and facilitators for managing atopic dermatitis and asthma. Dr. Aquino's research has been supported by grants from organizations such as the Children's Miracle Network and the ACAAI Allergist’s Foundation. She has been recognized for her contributions to medical education and scholarly work, including various podcasts and lectures addressing contemporary issues in allergy and immunology. Additionally, she serves as the Program Director for the Brown/Lifespan Allergy & Immunology Fellowship.
