Biography

Marcelle Blessing is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Yale School of Medicine. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University in 2001 and earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 2006. Following her education, she undertook her residency in Anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, finishing in 2010. Dr. Blessing joined the Yale University School of Medicine faculty in 2011 as an Assistant Professor and has since advanced to Associate Professor. She currently serves as the Director of Quality and Safety in Regional Anesthesia, as well as Director of Anesthesia for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Yale New Haven Bridgeport Hospitals. Her research includes clinical trials focused on enhancing patient safety and efficiency in anesthesia, with ongoing studies comparing opioid-based protocols in total knee arthroplasty. She is board-certified in Anesthesiology, with her original certification obtained in 2011.
