Biography

Marcia G. Hunt, Ph.D. earned her doctorate in clinical community psychology from Bowling Green State University in 2005, with an emphasis on qualitative mixed-methods research, program development, and implementation. Dr. Hunt worked for 15 years with the Veteran’s Health Administration, specifically within the Connecticut VA Healthcare System Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, and the VHA Central Office. She began her time at the VHA Central Office as Associate Director of the VA Northeast Program Evaluation Center (NEPEC), where she was responsible for the national evaluation of programs designed to assist people with serious mental illness diagnoses. Dr. Hunt served on the Quality Improvement Implementation Consultation team, partnering with regional Chief Mental Health Officers to monitor the quality and operational integrity of mental health care delivery across 9 states and 24 VHA Healthcare Systems. Currently, she works as a Senior Health Services Researcher at Rush University System for Health, focusing on aging and serious mental illness issues. As a licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Hunt also holds leadership roles within the American Psychological Association.
