Biography

I am a semanticist working at the interface of semantics and syntax. My research explores how modification works and why it constitutes a natural class of phenomena rather than simply fitting into a convenient rubric. I have a variety of particular interests in this area. I received my doctorate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2005 after completing my BA at the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1997. Over the years, I have held positions at various institutions including Michigan State University, Université du Québec à Montréal, and Hampshire College.
