Biography

Marco Antoniades received the B.A.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada, in 2001, and the M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto, Canada, in 2003 and 2009, respectively. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical, Computer, Biomedical Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University and serves as Director of the Microwaves & Antennas Laboratory. Dr. Antoniades is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a member of various professional organizations including the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society, IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society, and others focused on antennas and electromagnetics. He is actively involved in the community, serving as an Associate Editor for IET Microwaves, Antennas, and Propagation as well as in various leadership roles within IEEE technical committees. His work is recognized internationally, and he regularly participates in steering committees for major conferences. His research interests include engineered electromagnetic materials, adaptive antennas, RF/microwave circuits, and wireless power transfer.
