Biography

Marco M. Garavaglia is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Toronto. His clinical interests focus on neuroanesthesia, where he is engaged in the development of new devices for real-time cerebral blood flow monitoring during brain surgery and assessing the depth of anesthesia. He has a strong passion for teaching, delivering lectures and mentorship to both undergraduate and resident students. In recognition of his work and dedication to education, he received the Art Dunn Undergraduate Student Award in 2013. He is also appointed as a Project Investigator at the Li Ka Shing Institute in Toronto, where he contributes to ongoing innovative projects in anesthesiology.
