Dr. Marco Gersabeck

Biography

Marco Gersabeck is an academic involved in the research of fundamental particle interactions and the behaviors of particles at small scales. His research group focuses on addressing key scientific questions related to matter and anti-matter, the design and operation of complex detectors used in particle colliders, and the processing of vast amounts of data produced from particle collisions. His work is predominantly aligned with the Large Hadron Collider beauty (LHCb) experiment, which is one of the four major experiments at the Large Hadron Collider located near Geneva, Switzerland. The LHCb experiment is instrumental in studying the reconstruction of particles created during proton collisions to measure their properties accurately. With expertise in precision tests of the Standard Model of Particle Physics and detector research and development, Gersabeck is dedicated to exploring intricate aspects of particle physics through the LHCb framework.
