Dr. Marco Kuhlmann

Biography

Marco Kuhlmann is a Professor at Linköping University, where he leads the Natural Language Processing Group. His research focuses on various aspects of natural language processing (NLP), particularly the development of new algorithms for natural language understanding. Kuhlmann combines concepts from theoretical computer science and machine learning to address practical challenges in human language technology and text mining. He has contributed significantly to the understanding of semantic parsing and has developed fundamental algorithms that are widely used in the field. Among his recent projects, he collaborates with Chalmers University of Technology and Recorded Future to advance the interpretation and integration of contextualized language representations. Beyond research, Kuhlmann is passionate about teaching, believing in making complex subjects accessible and motivating students in their learning.
