Biography

Marcos Briano is an Associate Professor (Teaching) in the Department of Physical Education and Mind Body Health at USC Dornsife and in the Rossier School of Education’s Marriage and Family Therapy program. His focus is on promoting students' well-being through physical fitness and mental wellness, fostering a holistic approach to mind-body health. Dr. Briano earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Multicultural Community Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (Alliant University) in 2016. He also holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from USC (2010) and both a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from USC (2002 and 1999, respectively). He has served as adjunct faculty at Pasadena City College and has extensive experience in teaching and clinical appointments within the field. His academic journey reflects a commitment to understanding and improving mental health within diverse communities, significantly contributing to the fields of physical and mental wellness education.
