Dr. Marcos Sanchez

Biography

Marcos Sánchez teaches graduate and undergraduate studios, seminars, history, and theory of architecture at the University of Southern California. He previously held teaching positions at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) and Bergen School of Architecture in Norway. Marcos is a partner at the office International House Architecture (IHA). His forthcoming book, 'Environmental Communications: Contact High', published by Columbia University Press, is a major survey of the prolific West Coast media collective, Environmental Communications. Sánchez's work has been featured in the Chicago Architecture Biennial, Istanbul Design Biennale, New Museum of Contemporary Art, and LAXArt Gallery in Los Angeles. His recent writings have appeared in journals such as ArtLies and Domus, as well as in an edited collection titled 'Radical Pedagogies', forthcoming from MIT Press.
