Biography

Marek Pycia is a Professor of Organizational Economics at the University of Zurich and Co-Director of the Zurich Center for Market Design. His research has led to the establishment of the kidney-transplant voucher program and has influenced the design of school systems. He has published extensively in leading international journals such as the American Economic Review, Econometrica, the Journal of Political Economy, and the Review of Economic Studies, and has received support from the ERC Consolidator Grant. Additionally, Marek serves on the editorial boards of Theoretical Economics, the Journal of Economic Theory, the International Journal of Game Theory, the Journal of Mechanism and Institution Design, and Games and Economic Behavior. He has held positions at the University of California, Los Angeles, Pennsylvania State University, and Leon Koźmiński Academy of Entrepreneurship Management. Marek holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
