Biography

Margaret Brown is a native Austinite and an Assistant Professor at the Dell Medical School. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and subsequently completed her dermatology residency at UT Health San Antonio. In 2020, she returned to Austin to join the Division of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Brown practices general dermatology at Ascension Medical Group Seton Dermatology and CommUnityCare Health Centers. She is actively involved in her residency program, serving on the wellness committee and co-directing the medical student dermatology clerkship as well as organizing dermatology grand rounds. Her commitment to education and training in dermatology has been recognized by her peers, and she received the Faculty Teacher of the Year award for the Dermatology Residency at Dell Medical School in 2023. Additionally, she was honored with the Clinical Learning Environment Award at Dell Medical School, reflecting her dedication to improving the education and experience of her students and residents.
