Dr. Margaret Connors

Biography

Margaret Connors is a lecturer at the University of Michigan Law School, specializing in Peacemaking and Restorative Justice in State Court Justice Systems and Family Law Litigation. With a robust background as a civil litigator, Connors dedicated 19 years of her career serving as an assistant prosecuting attorney. Besides practicing law, she brings a wealth of experience from teaching English and supervising special education in middle schools. Connors is also an accomplished artist, exhibiting her work at the nationally recognized Ann Arbor Art Fair for seven consecutive years. Her commitment to the arts is further exemplified by her membership in the University of Michigan Artists and Craftsman Guild, where she held officer positions for six years and had a one-woman show at the university’s “U Club.” Additionally, Connors has been actively involved in community service, serving on the board of directors for the Safe House of Ann Arbor and participating in the Governor’s Task Force to Strengthen Michigan Families. She has experience as a hearing panelist for the Attorney Discipline Board and as a referee for the Michigan Tax Tribunal. Moreover, she is a trained and certified peacemaker and mediator, with participation in peacemaking circles within schools and court cases.
