Biography

Margaret Dicarlo achieved her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Saint Louis University and completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University, specializing in neuropsychology. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at Brown University in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. In addition to her academic role, she is the President and co-founder of Neuropsychology Partners, a private practice in East Providence. Dicarlo's expertise spans late adolescent, adult, and geriatric neuropsychology, with particular subspecialties in Learning Disorders, ADHD, Traumatic Brain Injury, cerebrovascular disease, and dementia. She has extensive clinical experience, having served on the medical staff at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island for 20 years and as a member of the Clinical Board for the Rhode Island Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society for 15 years. Dicarlo's research interests include driving and dementia, executive dysfunction in aging dementia, the cognitive and emotional effects of multiple sclerosis, ADHD and executive functioning, and the development of neuropsychological and neurobehavioral assessments. Her clinical focus is on geriatric assessment and consultation across various outpatient and long-term care settings.
