Biography

Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Margaret Fay is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Bassoon. She earned her Doctor of Music in Bassoon Performance from Indiana University, and holds a Master's degree in Music Theory from the University of British Columbia, a Master of Music in Bassoon Performance from Ithaca College, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto. Over her career, she has held teaching positions at various institutions, including Stephen F. Austin State University and Western University in Ontario. She has performed with several orchestras, such as the Vancouver Symphony, Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Windsor Symphony, London Symphonia, Niagara Symphony Orchestra, and Opera Ontario. Margaret has also contributed to professional conferences, presenting at events organized by the International Double Reed Society, Texas Music Educators Association, and National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors.
