Biography

Maggie Holme's team works on the design, characterization, and application of lipid self-assembled structures for biomedical applications. Her particular systems of interest include vesicles with complex lipid compositions that mimic lipid distribution seen in extracellular vesicles produced by cells. Her work relies heavily on small angle neutron and X-ray scattering for in-depth characterization of lipid phase behavior and particle morphology. Collaborators develop sample environments and data analysis tools and techniques to facilitate her research.
