Dr. Margaret Linley

Biography

Margaret Linley is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Simon Fraser University. She focuses on 19th-century literature and culture, literary theory, and media history within the realm of print culture. Linley has authored several significant works, including chapters in 'Nineteenth Century Media: Construction of Identities' and 'The Blackwell Companion to Victorian Poetry.' She is also a co-editor of the collection of essays titled 'Media, Technology, Literature: Nineteenth-Century, Image, Sound, Touch.' Her teaching includes courses on literary criticism and advanced seminars. Linley holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts from Ryerson University, an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as both a Master's degree and PhD from Queen's University, underscoring her solid academic foundation in her field. She continues to engage actively in research and scholarship related to her interests.
