Biography

Margaret M. McConnell is a Lecturer at the Yale School of Management, with extensive experience in applied critical thinking within the policy-making sector. She has served as the Senior Vice President and Head of the Applied Critical Thinking Function at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York since January 2015, where she promotes awareness of the challenges posed by complexity, uncertainty, and bias in specialization relevant to policy making. She began her career at the FRBNY in September 1996 as an Economist in the Research Statistics Group, focusing on monetary policy and labor market dynamics. McConnell earned her Ph.D. in Economics from Ohio State University and holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Delaware.
