Biography

Margaret McKerchar is an Emeritus Professor at the University of New South Wales, recognized for her outstanding academic achievements and service to the profession. Her efforts in advancing Australian taxation education are recognized through her leadership roles, including serving years on the CPA Australia's NSW Divisional Council, where she was President in 2009. She was also a founding member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of the Australasian Tax Teachers Association and has been honored with several awards, including the Graham Hill Medal and the President's Award from CPA Australia. Margaret's research interests focus on taxpayer compliance, methodological approaches to tax administration, tax morale, and policy.
