Dr. Margaret Mueller

Biography

Margaret (Maggie) Mueller, MD, is an internationally recognized urogynecologist and reconstructive pelvic surgeon. She specializes in minimally invasive robotic gynecologic techniques, providing a wider range of treatment options tailored to her patients’ care, specific needs, and goals. Dr. Mueller leads a team that pioneered the Single Port Robotic Surgery program, ensuring accelerated recovery for patients. She focuses on complex conditions, including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence, and congenital genitourinary anomalies in adolescents and young women. Dr. Mueller has received the ABOG Focus Practice designation in Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology and has founded a multidisciplinary program dedicated to caring for this demographic. In addition to her clinical practice, she is a dedicated NIH-funded investigator conducting cutting-edge research on surgical outcomes and education advocacy in women's pelvic floor disorders. Dr. Mueller also emphasizes surgical education and has served as the Program Director for the Female Pelvic Medicine Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship. She actively collaborates with organizations to develop curricula and participates in national courses to train future urogynecologic surgeons.
