Biography

Dr. Margaret Walsh is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Resource Engineering at Dalhousie University. She graduated from the Technical University of Nova Scotia (TUNS) in 1993 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering and obtained her Master of Engineering degree from McGill University in 1994. Dr. Walsh completed her PhD in Civil Engineering at Dalhousie University in 2005. She has over seven years of experience in the specialty chemical industry and has focused her research on water and wastewater treatment. Dr. Walsh serves as the Technical Director on the Board of Directors for the Atlantic Canada Water Wastewater Association (ACWWA) and is a Regional Director on the Atlantic Executive Committee Board of Directors for the Canadian Association of Water Quality (CAWQ). Her research includes drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, and the development of innovative treatment processes to improve waste management. She has published numerous articles in reputable journals, contributing to advancements in water quality and treatment technologies.
