Biography

Margareta Wallin Peterson is a Professor Emerita at the University of Gothenburg, where she has had a distinguished career, including roles as pro-vice chancellor and vice chancellor. She possesses extensive experience in academic management and education, notably in the Faculty of Science and the Department of Zoology. Her research focuses on zoological cell and molecular biology, with specific emphasis on the cytoskeleton and the evolutionary roles of skin color in various species. Throughout her career, she has actively contributed to pedagogical projects and served as chief editor for the web journal Bioscience Explained. Wallin Peterson has also held numerous notable positions in other academic institutions and organizations, including Aarhus University in Denmark and Jönköping University.
