Biography

Margaretha Wewerinke-Singh is an Associate Professor of Sustainability Law at the University of Amsterdam and a co-founder of SEVEN, the university's climate institute. Margaretha's extensive involvement in international climate negotiations has positioned her as a legal advisor for various governments, NGOs, and intergovernmental organizations, including the United Nations. She holds a PhD from the European University Institute and multiple degrees in law and philosophy from Nottingham Law School and Radboud University. In addition, she is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Fiji and serves on several advisory boards related to environmental law.
