Biography

Margaux Hujoel, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Genetics and the Department of Computational Medicine at UCLA. She completed her B.S. in Mathematical Computational Biology at Harvey Mudd College and earned her Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she was mentored by Alkes Price. Following her doctoral studies, she undertook postdoctoral training in Statistical Genetics under Po-Ru Loh at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. Dr. Hujoel’s research is focused on developing innovative methods to leverage large-scale biobank datasets to understand the genetic influences on human diseases and complex traits.
