Maria Cuartero Botia is an Associate Professor at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden. She was awarded the Early Career Analytical Electrochemistry Prize by the International Society of Electrochemistry in 2018. Her research focuses on the development of new fundamental concepts in electroanalysis, supported by prestigious grants from the European Research Council (ERC) and the Swedish Research Council (VR). Her research interests include environmental water electroanalysis, enzymatic (bio)sensors, wearable sensors for healthcare, and spectroelectrochemistry.
