Biography

Maria graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McGill University in 2011 and obtained her Master's degree in 2014. Her professional journey began as a nurse clinician in the transplant hepatobiliary surgical unit at Royal Victoria Hospital, where she worked from 2011 to 2015. She then transitioned to a role as a neuro-intensive care nurse clinician at the Montreal Neurological Hospital, holding this position from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, Maria embraced the role of nursing professional development educator in the institution. Certified in medical surgical nursing in 2015, Maria has been continuously involved in the Ingram School of Nursing since 2014, fulfilling her responsibilities as a clinical instructor and lab educator. Currently, she is a full-time faculty lecturer and serves as the BNI Online Assistant Program Director. In this capacity, her instructional responsibilities encompass teaching clinical nursing skills, critical care skills, and health physical assessment at both graduate and undergraduate programs. In addition to her academic teaching responsibilities, Maria continues to actively participate as a nurse consultant at the Montreal Neurological Hospital, showcasing her steadfast commitment to both the academic realm and hands-on nursing practice.
